Singer Banky W set to run for the Eti-Osa House of Representatives seat. Bankole Wellington, called Banky W, has announced his intention to run for the Peoples Democratic Party’s Eti-Osa constituency House of Representatives seat.

Banky W made this known to the general public through his social media page in a video, on Friday, April 1st.

He captioned the video,

“We must engage with Nigeria where it is, not where we prefer for it to be. In 2019, we planted the seed. In 2023, by the grace of God, and with your support, we will win the seat.

The time for just talking is over. It’s time to #TalkAndDo. I hope can count on you. We move”.

He plans to make his intentions clear on Saturday.

It is recalled that in 2019, Banky ran for the same position under the platform of Modern Democratic Party(MDP). 

Many Nigerians have different reactions to this announcement as some said he might end up as Desmond Elliot while others are happy about it.
