Oladipupo Olabode Oladimeji, professionally recognized as Oladips, a Nigerian lyricist, has passed away at the age of 28
The artist’s representatives revealed today, on November 15th, 2023, that the vocalist departed yesterday, on November 14th, 2023, precisely at 10:14 PM.
Earlier, reports circulated that Oladips was admitted to the hospital late yesterday, while he engaged in a battle for his life.
A video of the rapper surfaced online, capturing him requesting his friend, identified as OnlyOneLifetime on Instagram, to transport him to the hospital.
Preceding his hospitalization, Oladips posted on his Instagram story urging the friend who went to get him medicine to return promptly.
In the footage, Oladips is heard beseeching his companion to transport him to the hospital, with his friends trailing behind, shouting his name as he seemingly lost consciousness en route.
The confirmation of his demise was conveyed by the singer’s management.
They wrote;
“We are saddened to inform the general public that Oladipupo Olabode Oladimeji aka OLADIPS has passed away yesterday Nov’14th Tuesday evening,at exactly 10:14pm. We are still in shock as we speak! For over 2 years he has kept his battles within himself, his body is now with his family & funeral services will be announced as soon as it is concluded! The family asked that we respect their privacy in this trying time. May God give us all the fortitude to bear this great loss.(amen).”
