Oyindamola Johnson Emmanuel, widely known as Dammy Krane, a Nigerian vocalist and composer, has once again initiated a dispute with his colleague, Davido, concerning an alleged financial obligation
In the wake of his N218 million ordeal with a business magnate, Dammy has urged the affluent singer to settle his debt, primarily for the welfare of his daughter.
He observed the complexities that wealth can introduce when it comes to settling debts, but he implores Davido to take his situation into account, especially considering the financial strain he’s been enduring to fund his daughter’s education.
Dammy expressed his desire to avoid any contractual disputes with the artist and simply wants Davido to uphold his end of the agreement.
Furthermore, the former artist brought up the case of Davido removing his signee, Idowest, from his record label, yet he remains steadfast in his pursuit of what he deems just, given the fraternal bond he shares with Davido.
In response to Davido’s reluctance to fulfill his financial obligation for the song, Dammy Krane conveyed that endorsing oppression is detrimental to leading a prosperous life.
“Let’s not forget @davido you took Idowest from my record label, I didn’t talk because I saw you as a brother. Neither did I drag the artiste (cos I had done my part to help him). Genuinely I want to know why you don’t want to pay me for a song you tweeted that I wrote after all.

These developments follow a public rebuke from a Nigerian photographer and entrepreneur, Abu Salami, who accused the musician of breaching a multimillion-dollar contract.
The businessman alleged that he paid the musician N218 million for his involvement in a youth football initiative, which Davido ultimately failed to attend.
To exacerbate matters, Davido declined to reimburse the sum and resorted to sending hooligans to intimidate Abu Salami, a claim substantiated by a harrowing video and numerous chat screenshots.
