Nigerian ace singer, songwriter, and performer, Chinedu Izuchukwu Okoli, popularly known as Flavour N’abania or Flavour, was featured on an MTV show after he was used as bait to scam someone.

The award-winning-highlife musician was featured on the July 12 episode of MTV’s “Catfish” after a scammer impersonated him online to dupe an American lady.

According to the video in circulation, the said lady named Kimberly believed she was dating Flavour, but discovered it was all a scam after her daughter wrote in to the show seeking help for her mum, who had been scammed online several times in previous times.

During their investigation, co-hosts Nev Schulman and Kamie looked through the Instagram account for the “flavour” that the victim had been in talks with and guessed that something fishy was up.

Eventually one of the show hosts reached out to the real Flavour and he granted a video call in which the singer made it known that he was impersonated, explaining how fraudsters use his Photos/Profile to scam innocent fans.
