Raheem Sterling’s seven-year stint with Manchester City will come to an end in the next few days.

The Englishman is on the verge of joining City’s Premier League rivals, Chelsea.

The Blues have agreed a deal with City worth £50m for the 27-year-old, per the Telegraph.

He will become the first signing made by Chelsea’s new owners, who took the reigns from Roman Abramovich in May.

The Telegraph also state that Sterling has signed a lucrative five-year deal worth £300,000-per-week.

There is also an option of extending his stay by an extra year.

But how does his Chelsea salary compare to England’s best footballers?

Sancho is the highest-paid English footballer in the world. He is paid a whopping £350k-per-week by Manchester United.

Grealish and Sterling find themselves in joint-third, with both earning a cool £300k-per-week.

Perhaps surprisingly, Stones is England’s fourth best-paid player, earning more than captain, Kane.

Elsewhere, Maguire earns more than Alexander-Arnold, while Henderson, despite playing just 29 times for United, sneaks into the top 20.

Notable players that miss out from the top 20 include Reece James (£58,000-per-week), Mason Mount (£88,462-per-week) and Jarrod Bowen (£96,154-per-week).

While Phil Foden earns ‘just’ £40,000-per-week at Man City, according to the Daily Star. That is set to rise very soon, though, with The Mirror claiming he is on the verge of signing a £200,000-per-week extension.
