Edouard Mendy Makes CAF’s Three-Man Final Shortlist | See List

The body governing football in Africa, CAF have released the top ten players for the African footballer of the Year Award and Edouard Mendy makes the three final shortlist

The body released the list of players on its official Twitter account on Wednesday, July 20th, 2022. Bayern Munich’s Sadio Mane, Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah and Chelsea’s Edouard Mendy are the three contenders for the award which will be going down on Thursday, July 21st, 2022.

Mane and Mendy, we’re part of the final because of their participation for Senegal during the just concluded Africa Cup of Nations which was hosted in Cameroon and helping the West Africa team qualify for the World Cup at the expense of the Pharaohs of Egypt. Salah was included in the final list for his performance in the Premier League and the UEFA Champions League for Liverpool.

The award ceremony will be held on Thursday, July 21st, 2022 in Casablanca, Morocco.
