“At least I can speak something” – Ex beauty queen & veteran actress Munachi Abii reacts after being ridiculed for not speaking fluent Igbo
Munachi Abii, has responded after she was shamed online for not being competent to communicate Igbo language smoothly.
The Nigerian actress was a guest on BBC News Igbo on Friday, April 22, 2022, where she spoke about her childhood, career and family.

The Mbaise-born beauty queen spoke Igbo quite well with some fractions of English. Evidently that wasn’t good enough for some people as they commenced making mockery of her.
“I can never understand why people shame people who are visibly trying to speak their language to the best of their ability,”
she wrote on her Instastory today in response to the comments
“At least I can speak something. The people that are doing the shaming sef can’t speak any language properly and look like oiled sorrow.”
Munachi added.
