Will Smith reacts to Academy’s 10-year ban after Oscars slap.

Will Smith has responded to the Academy’s verdict to ban him from her events for a decade.

Remember that the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences declared openly on Friday April 8

The actor will henceforth be unable to attend all of the organization’s events for 10 years for slapping Comedian, Chris Rock at the 2022 Oscars.

Nonetheless, Smith will retain the Oscar he earned this year for his role in “King Richard.” Reacting to this in a brief statement to Page Six on Friday, the actor said; 

“I accept and respect the Academy’s decision”

The previous week, Will announced he was resigning from the Academy, meaning he could not vote but was still eligible for nomination and to attend the subsequent Oscar shows.
