The world’s fastest woman in 100 meters hurdles, Oluwatobiloba Amusan wrote her name in the history book in Oregon at the just concluded competition. Amusan had earlier sent a message to the World, six years ago ( 2006) where she said, she will break the world record set by Keni Harrison of the United States in 2016.

Amusan broke the six-year-old record in her semi-final race where she finished with a time of 12.12 seconds. The 25-year-old set a new record of 12.06 seconds but the record will not be recorded by the body following a strong wind of 2.5 meters per second.

Jamaica’s Britany Anderson took silver in 12.23sec, while Olympic champion Jasmine Camacho-Quinn of Puerto Rico claimed bronze in 12.23.
