Nigerian Entertainment News: “New Season, Winner of Season 7 Yet to See All Her Prizes and Money” – Latest Update Shared by BBNaija Season 7 Champion, Phyna, Raises Eyebrows
In a recent social media post, Ijeoma Josephine Otabor, popularly known as Phyna, from the reality television realm, has voiced her discontent with the organizers of the renowned BBNaija series
The winner of the seventh installment of BBNaija, Phyna, utilized her official platform on the well-known microblogging site, X (formerly Twitter), to express her grievances, alleging that she has yet to receive all the prizes and monetary rewards promised to her by the program.
It’s worth recalling that Phyna clinched the championship title during the October 2022 edition of BBNaija, walking away with a grand sum of N100 million.
The coveted prize package consisted of N50 million in cash along with supplementary rewards provided by the show’s sponsors.
However, in 2023, BBNaija aired its eighth season with a theme of “All Stars,” featuring former housemates reuniting under one roof, and Ilebaye emerged victorious, claiming a grand prize of N120 million.
Ilebaye, a self-proclaimed Gen Z trailblazer hailing from Kogi State, revealed in a recent update that she has yet to access the N120 million awarded to her by the show’s organizers following her triumph.
Adding fuel to the fire, the reality series recently announced the return of its ninth season, with auditions already underway.
Phyna’s reaction throws shade at the BBNaija organizers, highlighting the discrepancy between the ongoing production of new seasons in 2024 and the unresolved issues regarding her outstanding prizes and earnings since 2022.
Phyna wrote;
“New show, Winner of season 7 nor see all her prizes and money Well lemme mind my business before them go talk say I don go bite their hand…. It is well.”
