“Nigerian Entertainment Blog” – OAP Dotun Disputes Allegations of Coercing His ex-wife into Terminating a Pregnancy

In a recent update shared on his Instagram page, Dotun responded to the accusations made by Tayo in their divorce papers, where she accused him of compelling her to undergo an abortion.
Last November, Tayo initiated divorce proceedings in front of Justice A.I Akobi of Court 23, High Court of the Federal Capital Territory, with claims of consistent emotional abuse, forced abortion, and severe domestic violence by Dotun, which she stated had taken a toll on her health and overall well-being.
According to legal documents signed by her attorney, Pelumi Olajengbesi, it was alleged that “the OAP coerced his wife into terminating her third pregnancy as a married woman.”
In his Instagram post on October 12, Dotun refuted these allegations. He revealed that Tayo had expressed her desire for a male child during their marriage as she felt unfulfilled with two daughters. He firmly denied the assertion that he forced her to have an abortion, explaining that they had gone to a medical facility for “gender selection,” not an abortion as Tayo had suggested.
Furthermore, he challenged his estranged wife to produce evidence of a supposed incident in which he was accused of assaulting her staff. Dotun claimed that the court had granted him access to their two daughters during holidays and even shared text messages indicating his intention to pick up the children on December 14, 2022, after flying from Lagos to Abuja.
Regarding the allegation that he intruded into Tayo’s residence and assaulted her gatekeeper, Dotun called upon Tayo to provide proof of this incident.
