Following the news of his arrest in Tanzania, here is a new update on the case involving the ‘Buga’ singer Kizz Daniel.

Social media had been buzzing on Monday, August 8, 2022, following the arrest of popular Nigerian singer Kizz Daniel in Tanzania but there is a new development to the case.

The Nigerians In Diaspora Commission has released an official statement confirming the release of Kizz Daniel by the Tanzanian police.

The confirmation was a direct reply to a post left by an online user. The commission however confirmed that even though Kizz Daniel had been released his lawyers would still have to visit the Tanzanian police pending ongoing investigations.

The statement read:

UPDATE: Kizz Daniel @KizzDaniel has been released. His legal team will however report back to the police tomorrow while he will subsequently return to Nigeria.
