After the official announcement of the Rookie of the Year nominees at the 16th Headies Awards 2023, various reactions have emerged on social media.

Music lovers and fans have taken to social media to react to the list of nominees for the Rookie of the Year category, which was announced by the organizers of the Headies Awards ahead of its 16th edition scheduled to take place in 2023.

Although an official date for the award ceremony itself has not been confirmed, the organizers confirmed the list of nominees for the Rookie of the Year category to announce the closing for the entry submission of projects and songs for the award.

The announcement of the Rookie of the Year was done today, Tuesday, July 11, 2023, on the official account of the Headies and the following artists were confirmed as nominees in the category;

Odumodu Black is easily rookie of the year in my books. He has had a good year. And it would be disappointing if he doesn't win that award in the next Headies. Bayanni doesn't stand a chance. Apart from Mavins tax, that guy is yet to really impress me.
