The NBA all-star game, which took place in Salt Lake City, Utah, on February 20th, 2023, was designed to see basketball megastars from both conferences, consisting of Team Lebron and Team Giannis, compete in a spirited match to raise money for charity.

Away from sports, music was equally a highlight of the evening, and Nigerian international stars Burna Boy, Rema, and Tems took center stage in what was an Afrobeats-themed performance.

Introduced by Toronto Raptors’ Cameroonian star Pascal Siakam, Grammy award-winning Burna Boy kicked off the show with an absolutely thrilling performance of “Anybody” while being backed up by his ever-impressive Outsiders Band. The African Giant went on to perform “It’s Plenty” and “Ye” before ending with his globally known “Last Last.”

Speaking in an interview, the musician made it known that he had a dream as a youngster to play in the NBA, hence, being in that setup as an artiste is a tremendous feeling, as he made it to the NBA either way.
