Brendan Rodgers Gives Update on Chelsea Target, Wesley Fofana

Rodgers was speaking in an interview where he confirmed that Chelsea have submitted two bids for the defender but it does not come to the valuation of the foxes.

There have been no new proposals for Wesley Fofana this week. There had been two from Chelsea, but neither came anywhere close to the valuation.

Chelsea are looking to sign at least one more defender before the end of the summer transfer window which closes on Thursday, September 1st, 2022. The Blues have signed Kalidou Koulibaly and Marc Cucurella from Napoli and Brighton respectively.

The Blues are looking to replace Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen, both players joined Real Madrid and Barcelona respectively. However, the Blues have been able to keep its captain, Cesar Azpilicueta who had been linked to Barcelona.

Brendan Rodgers tells me that there have been no new offers for Wesley Fofana.

He also says the speculation surrounding the squad has had no impact of effect on the players.
