Nigerian Entertainment News: Jaywon Criticized for Dropping Album During National Protests

Controversial social media personality Ruth has criticized Nigerian musician Oluwajuwonlo Iledare, popularly known as Jaywon, for releasing a new album

Ruth expressed her displeasure on X, condemning the release of Jaywon’s album ‘Evergreen’ amidst the #EndBadGovernance protests sweeping across Nigeria.

She highlighted the contrast between Jaywon’s actions and those of female artist Tems, who delayed the launch of her music video in response to the ongoing demonstrations.

Ruth gave the ‘This Year’ hitmaker a 24-hour ultimatum to remove his album from all streaming platforms or face being blacklisted in the industry.

She wrote;

“Due to #EndBadGovernaceInNigeria, Tems canceled dropping her video na Jaywon get mind drop Evergreen album because e no send us or what ? Jaywon has 24hours to remove the album on all platforms or we cancel him.”
